The first step to treatment of IBD is to determine individual patients’ different life styles and how severe and where the inflammation is in the digestive system. Such inflammation also could exist elsewhere than the digestive system. Thus, it is essential to have cooperative consultation with various clinical departments with expertise in other diseases in addition to the gastroenterology and hepatology. To cover such special consideration of this diseases, Ewha IBD Center of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital provides a multi-disciplinary integrated care system consisting of more than 4 clinical departments including gastroenterology and hepatology department, surgery department, radiology department, and pathology department.
