Diagnosis and treatments of diseases associated with endocrinopathy and metabolic abnormality
The Department of Endocrinology diagnoses and treats diseases in relation to endocrinopathy and metabolic abnormality. "Endocrine" refers to the internal secretion of hormones produced in endocrine glands of the body and major endocrine organs include pituitary gland, thyroid gland, pancreas, adrenal gland, ovary and testes. This department is responsible for diagnosis and treatments of diseases due to abnormally high or low secretion of hormones, as well as endocrinopathy/metabolic abnormality, such as inflammations or tumors in endocrine organs.
